Hot Walk Indy: Riverside Park Walk + Paddle

July 23, 2023 @ 9:30 am 1:00 pm EDT

For the Girls, Gays + Theys! Are you new to Indy or looking to make new friends? Hot Walk Indy is a perfect way to get involved — we are an inclusive walking group for the Girls, Gays + Theys focused on supporting local *and* each other. Come alone or with your pals – either way you won’t walk alone.

Choose your own adventure – join us for one or both!

1. WALK (9:30-10:30am): We’ll go on a ~2 mile stroll through Riverside Adventure Park – a once functioning golf course, it’s now a hidden oasis of native plants in full bloom. Our walk ends with a unique finish — down a soap box derby hill!

2. PADDLE (11am-1pm): We’ll canoe, kayak or SUP (stand up paddleboard) and experience the City together in a whole new way. The first 20 registered will be given instructions on how to book directly through Frank’s to receive 10% off rentals. You’re welcome to bring your own watercraft as long as you can carry it down the ramp (no driving on the ramp is allowed). You’re sure to make new memories and friends! FYI: rain date vouchers will be provided if there’s inclement weather.

There are 3 ticket options available:

  1. Walk-only
  2. Paddle – BYOW (Bring Your Own Watercraft)
  3. Paddle – Rent directly from Frank’s – the first 20 registered will receive a 10% discount. Once you register, you’ll see instructions on how to book through Frank’s.

Paddling with us? Here’s what to expect & bring:

  • You’ll park at Frank’s Livery which is our meeting point for the walk
  • 2 hours of really, really, really, REALLY fun time!
  • Bring appropriate footwear that will get wet
  • Snacks & beverages – alcohol is ok, just don’t bring glass or stryofoam coolers please
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses)
Free Walk and bring-your-own-boat is free, rentals available with discount at Frank's Livery
